Geevagh GAA Club notes

This week’s notes should have included two match reports, our Senior Ladies bid for their 2nd Connacht Championship crown & our U.12 Boys semi-final championship game. However, these games were not to be after The GAA firstly suspended all games bar Inter County and secondly a countrywide Level 3 Covid restrictions was implemented from Tuesday last.

Our senior ladies are still permitted to train as normal & our U.12’s are training away also, both crews adhering to the Covid guidelines. Hopefully these games will be played in the not too distant future.

The Leinster branch of the LGFA have suspended their provincial club finals until January 2021, so it will be interesting to see what the Connacht branch do.

Congratulations to all our club players who received their First Holy Communion on Monday night last.

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of the late Michael Lavin, Creevagh.

Great credit to all our club teams & mentors who represented the club over this difficult season, hoping 2021 will be a little less stressful from a regulatory point of view.

Thanks for your understanding and patience in supporting all of the public health guidance over the last number of months.
