The monthly club meeting will be held next Sunday 6th December outdoors at 12.00PM at the club grounds.
The club will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022 and we plan to mark the occasion with the publication of a Club History Book. The book will chart the many ups and downs since 17th March 1972 when the Sooey and Knockalassa clubs amalgamated to form Shamrock Gaels. The work has now started and we are soliciting content such as stories and photographs from the community. We are particularly interested in photographs from the first 30 years. Well done to the Gleann Community and School Committee on the excellent publication of "Gleann Community & School" which is now available in all shops in the area. Whether or not you are from Gleann, this is a must have for all houses in the community and a great record of life in the area down through the years.
The club wish to express sympathy with the Boyd, Harte and Finn families, relatives and friends on the passing of Julia Finn, Knockbeg and the family and relatives of Margaret Gethin, Emlagh and Denis McCarthy, Ballintogher who died at the weekend.
