  • Happy New Year to all our members, supporters and sponsors. We hope that 2021 will be a better year for us all and that we will be able to return to some sort of normality in the coming months.
  • The club has appointed a new management team for the forthcoming season. We wish to pay tribute to the outgoing manager John O’Flaherty and his backroom team of Paddy Kerins, Tadhg Brennan and Mark Heslin. These men have been at the helm of our adult team for the past four years with the highlight undoubtedly haven being reaching the 2019 county final against Geevagh. This year they also guided the team to Abbot Cup success over Tourlestrane. Three of the four are local men who have been involved at all levels within the club over the years and have helped shape the club to what it is today. We thank them for their time, commitment and dedication and wish them all well into the future.

Former player Willie Gormley will take charge of our team for 2021. Willie has plenty of managerial experience having won a Senior title with Tubbercurry in 2014 and also managed St Molaise Gaels for two seasons. Most recently he managed the Ballymote/Bunninadden Minor team that reached the A final.

Willie will be joined with former club and county stalwart Padraig Doohan as selector. Former club captain Paul Kerins will also be a selector. All three men were part of our last senior title winning team in 2000 and will undoubtedly try and provide similar glory days to the club. Curry’s James McDonagh will be team coach. James is no stranger to the GAA world in our parish as he’s manager of St Nathys Ladies Senior team.

We wish Willie, his backroom team and the panel well going forward into 2021.
