Drumcliffe-Rosses
Point GAA Club
Intermediate Championship;
we contest our fourth Intermediate Championship Final in a row on Saturday week
12th October at 4.30 in Markievicz Park, when we play our neighbours
Calry-St Joseph’s in what will be a real local derby. We defeated Castleconor
last Sunday on a score of 3-13 to 1-10 in what was a well merited win to reach
the final.
Hurling; our U12’s
defeated Coolera-Strandhill and Naomh Eoin in the City Board League and these
wins guarantee them a place in the City Board League Final.
GAA Social Initiative; A
Play ‘The Quare Land’ written by John Mc Manus, directed and starring Seamus O
Rourke will be performed on Thursday 17th October at 9 PM,
Rathcormac School Hall; Tickets available from any member of Finance Committee.
Ladies Football; our U
14’s lost Championship Final to Eastern Harps, whom we had already beaten in
Feile and the League Final, these Girls have being great ambassadors of the
Club all year and done us proud in the National Feile Derry during the summer.
We extend our deepest
sympathy to the Family of the late Josie Mc Gauran Calry on her recent sad
passing, deepest sympathy to the Mc Loughlin Family Drum Road, on the death of
Eugene Mc Loughlin, Charlestown, may they rest in peace.
