Shamrock Gaels Club notes Monday 25th November clubnotes
The Club's AGM takes place next Sunday December 1st in the Clubhouse. This meeting will be a reflection on the year gone by but also sets the platform for the year ahead. The AGM is open to all and if you are interested in getting involved in club activities in any area, be it coaching, administration or generally helping out, please attend. We would especially welcome parents and new residents to the area to attend.

The AGM of Bord Na Nóg takes place the following Wednesday 4th December at 8.00PM in the Clubhouse. Bord Na Nóg is responsible for running all of the underage activities of the club and we would especially ask Parents interested in getting involved to attend this meeting.

Our Healthy Club Committee will again be holding the Goal Mile in Riverstown Park on St Stephens Day at 11.00AM to raise funds for Goal - note the date in your diary.

The winner of our 50/50 draw last week was Noel Jinks who won €769. We are planning to have 50/50 Christmas bonanza draws with a minimum prize of €1,000 for each of the four weeks in December along with a bonus prize of a Christmas hamper each week. Well done to our Ballad Group of Kate Jinks, Lauren Kearns Chapman, Elyse Médas, Niamh Kennedy, Ava Kennedy and our Music Group of Ava Kennedy, Niamh Kennedy, Amy Bagnall and Sophie Hanley who won county titles in Scor Na Nóg and now go on to represent Sligo at the Connacht finals on Dec 7th . We also won the overall best Club award. Well done also to Niamh Kennedy who participated in the solo singing and our Quiz team of Joseph O'Connor, Josh McTiernan, Fionnan Duffy and Charlie King. 

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Martina McLoughlin, Coolaney and formerly of Bricklieve, Castlebaldwin who died last week.

Sustainability Information event Thurs 4th Nov mainnews
Connacht GAA’s landmark partnership with Pinergy underscores their commitment to supporting Irish sport and promoting sustainability within the Connacht GAA community.
Through this partnership, Pinergy will work closely with Connacht GAA, it's clubs & county boards to deliver innovative energy solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption, costs and lowering carbon footprints.
Pinergy estimate that they can help the Connacht GAA community save up to €2 million on energy costs over the next five years.
We are encouraging all Sligo GAA clubs and county boards to sign up for a free energy consultation to explore how they can benefit from this partnership.
Sligo GAA are hosting a Sustainability Information event in Scarden at 7.30pm on Thursday 14th November and we would encourage at least one if not two of your club members to attend. In attendance will be key expert partners like Pinergy, Futurefit, SEAI, Mywaste and local Climate Action Officers.

The Club is looking for members who are U17 to represent the Gaels in a number of competitions including, Solo Singing, Recitation/Story-telling, Set Dancing, Figure Dancing, Ballad Group, Music Group, Novelty Act and a Quiz team. Shamrock Gaels Club notes Monday 28th October clubnotes
We are currently hosting our annual clothes collection. Items need to be clean and unsoiled and can consist of clothes, footwear, sheets, towels, handbags, belts and teddy bears. No duvets or pillows allowed. Items can be dropped off at the clubhouse at Shamrock Gaels Park tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday from 11-12 and next Saturday 2nd November from 11-12. If you have bags and can not make any of the above times, please contact Michelle McMorrow on 087 6157455.

We also sympathise with the family and relatives of Valerie Sleator, Riverstown who died recently.
