Exiles FBD participation gets green light London will take part in the 2012 Connacht FBD league after all. Participation in the early-season subsidiary competition will set the Exiles back somewhere in the region of £16,000 but manager Paul Coggins was determined to push on regardless and his wishes were unanimously backed at Monday night's County Board meeting. Connacht Council has arranged for London to play their games in such a way that they will only have to come over to Ireland twice - playing two games in Sligo one weekend and two games in Galway another weekend. A delighted Coggins says in the Examiner: "The players have all been very enthusiastic about the idea of playing in the FBD league since it was first mentioned. "In the past, London teams wouldn't have been as ready as they'd like to have been for those first few national league games because the match practice wasn't available. "That's why the FBD League should benefit us and allow us to hit the ground running by the time the national league starts. We're very pleased our delegates backed us."
