Easkey/St. Farnan`s under 12 hurlers made it four in a row when they captured the Aodh Ó Dálaigh Cup in Ballyshannon on Sunday last. In the round robin Easkey had wins over Drumcliffe (Sligo), Aodh Ruadh (Ballyshannon) and Tuam (Galway) and were defeated by Keady(Armagh). This meant that Easkey booked a place in the Cup Final against Keady .
The final was a classic between two evenly matched teams. Fionn Moylan scored a goal in the first half for Easkey which proved crucial and they led at half time by 1-2 to 0-1.The strength of Easkey proved decisive in the second half and they ran out worthy winners by 2-5 to 0-2.
Michael Daly presented the Cup to joint captains Fionn Moylan and Shane Molloy.He congratulated the team on winning 4 in a row and described the team as Kilkenny of the North West!
