The seniors completed their Division 1 football league campaign with a 1-17 to 1-9 win over Curry at Oxfield last Sunday. We have finished sixth in the league table on seven points. We are scheduled to begin our championship campaign against the holders Tourlestrane in two weeks’ time.

Our ladies footballers have qualified for the knockout stages of the intermediate championship thanks to an emphatic 4-23 to 2-4 win over Calry/St Joseph’s at Oxfield last Sunday morning. This was an impressive team display and we now travel to Tourlestrane next Sunday morning to play the host club in the county semi-final at 10am. Please come along and support the team if you can.

Our junior men’s footballers play their Division 4 league final against Curry this Sunday afternoon at 1pm. At the time of writing, the venue for the game was still being finalised. Check our social media pages for confirmation.

Our ladies minor footballers are in the middle of a hectic ‘A’ championship campaign and enjoyed an impressive win last Wednesday evening with a 5-16 to 6-7 success against Tourlestrane. The team are scheduled to play the holders St Nathy’s in the round robin phase on August 13th.

After their recent league title success, the boys U16 footballers begin their championship campaign this Saturday 5th with a trip to south Sligo to play Tourlestrane at 7pm. The U14s are away to Curry in the ‘A’ championship on Friday evening.

The club wishes Oisín O’Reilly and the Ireland U18 Basketball team every success at the European Championships which are taking place this week in Estonia.

The Benbulben Gaels U16 and U14 hurlers enjoyed championship wins during the week against Tourlestrane and Tubbercurry/Cloonacool respectively.

Our new minor hurling team play their next championship group match this Thursday evening against Naomh Eoin in Oxfield (7pm) while the U12 hurlers will play their Shield semi-final against Coolera/Strandhill in Oxfield on August 8th at 7pm.

Our two boys U12 football teams enjoyed good wins against Coolera in the league last week. Well played both sets of players.

Our U10 nursery hurlers enjoyed a very successful blitz at Scarden last Wednesday evening, playing matches against Coolera/Strandhill, Calry/St Joseph's and Naomh Eoin.
