This Tuesday night August 8th our two Boys U12 squads are in League semi final action at home at 7.00pm. In the Shield competition our Division I squad play Ballymote/Bunninadden while our Division III team play neighbours Drumcliffe/Rosses point in the Cup competition.

Our U16 Girls had a good home win against St MIchaels in the Championship on Thursday last.

This Saturday evening August 12th our senior men open their Championship campaign with a fixture against Cooler/Strandhill in Markievicz Park at 5.pm.  While preparations for the game have not been helped by a lengthy injury list Gaels have prepared well in recent weeks though the postponement of our league fixture against Calry/St Josephs last weekend has meant a long break from competitive action heading into Saturdays fixture.

Our annual "Cash for Clobber" fundraiser will conclude shortly. If anyone has old clothes and footwear that they don't need the Club would be delighted to take these. Goods can be left at the Club  rooms on any Saturday morning or for the next few weeks during our Camp Friday events.

Our popular Friday Camp for boys and girls ages 5 to 13 returns this Friday August 11th running from 10,00am to 2.00pm. Cost is 5 euro per child payable on the morning.

Our junior ladies went down to defeat against Coolera/Strandhill in the Championship on Sunday morning last but produced a fine display in what will be their last competitive fixture of the season. Well done to the Panel and Management Team on a season that has seen a number of younger players joining the squad and offering much encouragement for the years ahead.

Next Monday night August 14th our U16 Boys have a 2nd round A championship fixture away to Easky/Enniscrone at 7.00pm

Our next Club Lotto draw takes place on Monday next August 14th at 8.30pm. Jackpot now stands at 2,800 euros. Thanks to all for their continued support for this important fundraiser.

The Club extends deepest sympathies to the Leonard family Aughagad on the death of John Leonard . John was a great GAA supporter particularly of the Sligo senior team
