A fine second half performance was enough to
get the lads over the line. Progression to semi-final is now guaranteed with

The U-14 lads are into the B Championship final
after overcoming a gallant Eastern Harps at Connolly Park on a scoreline of
5-13 to 5-6.. The game was close throughout with Harps coming back at us on
numerous occasions but a late scoring burst seen us over the line. Well done
boys!!

Hard luck to the minor girls who lost out in the
Championship final this evening. Well done on making the final.
Well done to the U-12 lads who played in
Markievicz last Saturday week and represented the club with distinction.The
U-12 team won their match with a good performance to qualify for a playoff
final against St. Johns this Wednesday again in Markievicz Park at 6pm.The U-11
development team played a close contest with Ballymote/Buninnadden and were
just edged out by 2 point in a great display

Well done to our representatives at
the U-12 Skills competition at Scarden who have qualified for the Connaught
Finals. Dylan Walsh, Aaron Mullen, Darragh Callaghan and Patrick O'Connor.

The club held an U8 girls blitz
last Wednesday in Connolly Park with St.Nathys,
St. Farnans, Geevagh. Thanks to Martin for helping with
the pitch preparation, to Byron and Kelly for their time and expertise in
refereeing.
A big thanks to the coaches who have worked with
the kids throughout the year; Niall Dunican, John Egan, Jarlath Taheny and
Brian Maloney. Our Bord na nOg of Clare and Janice who have put in alot of
behind the scenes work for our underage structures.
And last but not least Jude, who not only came up
with the idea of this blitz but followed through on it with drive and
enthusiasm culminating in this evening's event.
Well done all, a very proud evening for the club.

Check out our new underage
kit now available to buy at Jako Sports. This will be the playing kit for our
U-10 and U-8 teams. The T-shirt (a requirement for U-8 and 10's) is €15, with
an option of shorts and socks for €22 total. Sizes catering right down to our
nursery kids.
Our Saturday Morning Coaching is finishing up

Owenmore Gaels are delighted to

Club's. When doing your shopping why not pop into Supervalu Ballisodare between
today and the 17th of August. When you spend €20 or more you receive a voucher
along with your receipt. Please place the voucher in the box marked OWENMORE
GAELS. The target amount is 2,000 vouchers, if we reach that target we will
receive 75 One Touch footballs for our U-8's+U-10's which will be a huge boost
to the development of our underage players in the Club.
Club Lotto
The Lotto draw took place in The
Owenmore Inn on Monday 21st August. The numbers drawn were 22,
24, 28 & 31.
There was no winner of the €7,200
Jackpot. Congrats to our ‘Lucky Dip’ winners Aiden Flynn, Richard Surlis, Alan
Bonney & Online Winner Donna Taaffe. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets
and continues to support the club. As there was no Jackpot Winner this week,
the Jackpot rolls over to €7,300. The next draw will take place in Connolly’s
Bar on Monday 4th September.
