Great win for our U-16 hurlers who qualified for next week's championship final v group table-toppers Easkey/St. Farnan's with a great comeback win away to Benbulben Gaels in Oxfield last Tuesday. This win ensured we pipped the home side to second spot with three group wins out of four games. Down by eight points (3-8 to 2-3) at half time, our U-16's fought back skilfully and tenaciously in the second half, limiting Benbulben to a single point, and firing 3-4 to win 5-7 to 3-9 at the finish. Fionn Sheridan was the chief goal-scorer with four excellent 3-pointers and full forward, Fergal O'Kelly-Lynch, was deadly accurate from frees, bagging 1-4. Darragh Feehily, Ethan Scully and Darragh Cawley also got on the scoresheet as the lads finished strongly.

The Naomh Eoin backs defended resolutely in the second half with 'keeper Michael Munnelly, full back Paul Gallagher, and the excellent half-back line of Ethan Scully, Donal Keaveny, and Michael Morgan particularly outstanding. Liam O'Kelly-Lynch was impressive at midfield with a massive hard-working and tough-tackling performance.
