Cloonacool/Tubbercurry U/16 team were defeated in the Shield final by Easkey/Enniscrone/Kilglass on Sunday last by the narrowest of margins on a 1-15 to 2-11 scoreline. Hard luck to the lads and their management team, and well done on a good years football.

Hard luck to Sligo Junior championship winners Ballymote, in going down to Mayo champions Lahardane McHales, in the Connacht Club championship Final played at McHale Park Castlebar last Sunday, on a 1-15 to 3-5 scoreline.

The club are seeking interested members to represent Cloonacool G.A.A. Club in the up-coming Junior and Senior Scor competitions ,in question time, solo singing, novelty act, ballad group, and Irish dancing .Anyone wishing to participate in the coming weeks and months should contact cultural officer Belinda Henry, vice-chairman Brian McIntyre or chairman Bill Carty in the coming days.

Congrats to Sharon Johnston Carrentubber and Declan Hannon Gurteen who were married in St. Michaels church Cloonacool last weekend.

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of the late Michael James Kirrane Carrentubber who went to his eternal reward in recent weeks. May he rest in peace.
