Happy New Year to all Gaels near and far!
A huge thank you to all who participated in and donated to our annual
St.Stephens day charity match. An impressive €864.15 was raised for Motor
Neuron research.
In a keenly contested match the 'yellows' won out on a 2-12 1-12 scoreline.
Massive thanks to Martin and Donna for organising post match refreshments and
to Gerry O'Connell for refereeing.
Scór na nÓg
As the
competitions wind down on the field in the county, attention is now turning to
GAA matters off the pitch. This is a special Winter season for Sligo GAA and
its Scór Committee as we host the All Ireland Finals at both Scór Sinsir and
Scór na nÓg levels.
Clubs are
asked to make an extra special effort to get involved as we aim to have some
home grown talent take to the stage of IT Sligo come Spring 2018. For the first
time ever Scór na bPaistaí is being run for Primary School children in October
in a bid to foster a relationship with the association and Scór.
Anyone
interested in music, song, dance or drama should contact Keith Henry
086-3357182 or Catherine Gallagher 087-6494568, any Scór Committee member or
their club for more information.
