A busy week on the underage front started with our under 12 girls entertaining near neighbours Dromahaire in a friendly game at Ballinode. Having suffered a heavy defeat to the same opposition last year the girls dug deep this year and managed to overturn last year's defeat and win out by three points in the end.

On Tuesday night our under 12 hurlers travelled to Easkey to play the next round of their league. Our extremely young team performed heroically to come away from Easkey with a draw, 0-03 to 0-03! Testament once again to the fantastic work and commitment been put in by their coaches.

Wednesday  saw the under 10 football team travel to Enniscrone where once again our young team returned home with a very convincing victory.

On Saturday evening to Seniors made it five wins from five with a good victory in the Fureys Coaches senior league when they defeated St Johns by 1-08 to 0-07. The lads made hard work of their Championship opponents what was a stop start affair riddled with frees and fouls. A goal from the "in form" Paddy Wolfe was the decisive score between the teams. Next up for the lads are second-placed Easkey, in two weeks time.

What could be described as a "league of Nations" took to the field in Ransboro Park on Sunday afternoon for the Junior side which fielded a team of young and not so young players. The lads put in a sterling performance but the local side adapted better to the conditions and ran out victors by six points
