Our senior team suffered a 6pt defeat to Geevagh on Saturday evening last In Division 2 of the senior league.A fantastic nigh was had by all who attended Michael McDonnell Cloontia Retirement part in Perry’s Tavern on Saturday last. Michael worked as caretaker of the pitches and grounds since 2005.Michael always kept the pitches is pristine condition along with Sean Cunningham & Ollie Small who worked together as a great team.
Michael was presented with a pice of crystal with a tractor etched into it as as symbol of all the times he used his tractor in cutting the pitches.
Michael was also presented with a watch on the night which was a symbol of always getting the pitches done on time for every game.
We wish Michael a happy and healthy retirement.
The park committee would like to thank Tony and Bernadine Perry for there hospitality in holding this party and to every one for attending and showing there thanks to Michael for his dedicated service .
