SUPERVALU GETS BEHIND THE BALL THIS SUMMER WITH THE GAA.
SuperValu stores kicked off nationwide
on Thursday 10th a nine-week programme which will see individual retailers
donate 55,000 GAA footballs to clubs across the country. Through the
initiative, SuperValu customers will receive ‘#BehindTheBall’ tokens, which
they can then use to allocate to a local GAA club of their choice at the
in-store collection points.
Our Saturday
morning coaching continues this Saturday from 10am-11am in Connolly Park. For
ages 4-10 years. A fun introduction to football. To participate kids must be registered. See the club

join up with any of our underage team from U-10 to U-18 or to play senior

Check out our
new underage kit now available to buy at Jako Sports. This will be the playing
kit for our U-10 and U-8 teams. The T-shirt (a requirement for U-8 and 10's) is
€15, with an option of shorts and socks for €22 total. Sizes catering right
down to our nursery kids.

Owenmore
Gaels GAA Club are delighted to announce they will host the All Ireland u16 ‘A’
Championship semi-final on Wednesday, July 4 @ 7:30 p.m. The semi-final will
see Galway and Donegal do battle and will go to extra time if necessary. Good
luck to both teams and we look forward to welcoming the teams and their
supporters to Connolly Park.

Abbott Cup Semi-Final Result: Owenmore Gaels
0-12 Ballymote 0-16
Ballymote deservedly make the final after edging
a tight game. After Ballymote built up a lead we just couldn't close the gap,
despite our best efforts.
We now re-focus on the league with a crucial
home game vs Curry in two weeks time.
The U14 boys were in action on Monday evening
against St. Mary’s. This will be the last game before the boys travel to Louth
for the Feile in two weeks time. Throw in is at 7pm in Connolly Park.
The U12 boys are
in action on Tuesday evening as they travel to Oxfield to face
Drumcliffe/Rosses Point. Best of luck lads.
Club Lotto
The Lotto draw took place in Cullen’s Bar on Monday 11th June. The
numbers drawn were 12, 14, 17 &22.
There was no winner of the €9,300 Jackpot. Congrats to our ‘Match 3'
Winners Fergal Gunning and Declan Feeney who each win €50.
As there was no Jackpot Winner this week, the Jackpot rolls over to €9,400.
The next draw will take place on Monday 25th June in The Owenmore Inn.
