Intermediate
Our
Intermediate team concluded their Division Two league campaign in a positive
fashion following a 1-11 to 0-12 win away to Geevagh last Sunday. The sides
were level at the break, 1-5 to 0-8, and despite going three points up at one
stage in the second half, our lads required late scores from Shane Hargadon and
Christopher Tuffy to hold off a late Geevagh revival. The lads now have three
weeks to prepare for the Intermediate Championship, which gets underway on the
August Bank Holiday weekend with against Castleconnor.
U-16
The
Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey U-16s secured silverware last Monday evening when
they claimed the Division Two cup title with a comprehensive 8-15 to 4-10 win
over Shamrock Gaels in Tubbercurry. This was an assured team display that
included fine performances in every sector of the park. Well done to the
players and management on this success.
U-14
Our U-14s secured
their place in the Division Two shield final following an impressive 9-10 to
4-6 defeat of Geevagh/St Michael’s at Geevagh last Thursday evening. They now
advance to a final meeting with Coolaney/Mullinabreena next Friday evening
(July 19th) at 7.30pm in the Sligo Centre of Excellence at Scarden.
Best of luck to everyone involved – please support.
U-12
Our U-12s put
in a good display to end as 0-20 to 0-3 winners over Curry at Quigabar last
Tuesday.
Club lapel pins
There are a
limited number of lapel pins showcasing the club crest – and importantly the
correct spelling of Enniscrone as Gaeilge agus as Béarla – available at
present. They are a quality item that would make a great present, and also show
your support for the upcoming plebiscite on the town name. They are available
from any committee member for €10.
Blotto
The blotto
continues every Sunday night. Your support is greatly appreciated.
