Congratulations to the Geevagh U-12 boys who won the U-12 B cup final when they defeated Enniscrone in Scarden on Thursday evening last. In front of a large crowd, the boys started slowly but dominated the third and fourth quarter to record a famous victory. Coaches Emmet Noone and Gerry Brehony had all their charges in fine form in a game which featured eye catching performances from Captain Dara Mostyn and resolute defender Shane O’ Reilly. Well done to all concerned.

Congratulations must also go to Jade Gabbidon who made her Croke Park debut when she participated in the Mini 7’s exhibition game at half time during last Saturdays thrilling Galway v Clare senior hurling semi-final. Let’s hope the promising Geevagh girl returns in her county colours to savour this unique atmosphere in the years ahead.
