Our Development squad defeated Coolaney/Mullinabreena 1-13 to 1-10 at Scarden on Sunday afternoon in the final of the Division IV League. Congratulation to the squad and management team on an excellent league campaign which saw only one defeat. Having won the Junior B Championship last season the Group were determined to achieve league success this campaign and will after Sunday's success compete in Division III next season. A 54th minute goal from Darren Oates proved the crucial score in the final and with Jamie McLoughlin, John Gilsenanan and Martin Feeney contributing excellent points Gaels were able to withstand late pressure from Coolaney/Mullinabreena and secure the title. The squad will now focus their efforts on the A championship.

Disappointment for our U12 Boys beaten 22 score to 17 by Eastern Harps in Scarden on Thursday evening last in the Division I final. Gaels trailed by 13 scores to 3 after the first quarter with the Gurteen side kicking some fantastic scores. However Gaels upped their performance significantly from there to the end of the game but the gap proved too much and despite  fantastic effort they came up short. Congratulations to Harps on their win. Well done to the Gaels squad and mangement team who have worked so hard this year and produced many excellent displays. Our Division III side were beaten by Coolera/Strandhill in their semi final on Tuesday evening by 25 scores to 15. Again this Group have worked very hard all season and thanks to team and their coaches for their efforts,

The underage Championship season is well underway and our minor Boys picked up their second win with a 2-12 to 0-07 victory at home to Curry on Sarturday evening. on Monday 23rd July our U16 Boys had an excellent 3-21 to 1-06 win away to Gee4vagh/st Michaels.

On Saturday last our U9 Boys won the Liam Browne Tournament hosted by Four Masters in Donegal defeating St Mary's Sligo in a thrilling final with Gaels emerging winners by 6 scores to 5 after extra time.
