Intermediate
Our
Intermediate team will get their 2019 season underway next Sunday afternoon in
their opening round Division Two fixture. They take on Geevagh at 2pm in
Geevagh. Best of luck to the team and management for the coming year – please
lend your support if possible.
Minor
The
Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor footballers suffered an opening round defeat
in the A league last Monday with a 1-9 to 3-10 loss to St Farnan’s/St Patrick’s.
They are away to Curry in round two on April 12th.
U-16
Our U-16s
host Coolaney/Mullinabreena in the B league on Monday, April 1st at
6.30pm.
U-14
The U-14s
get their year up and running on April 11th with a home game against
St Patrick’s.
County scene
Ciaran
O’Dowd was part on the Sligo Senior squad for last Sunday’s defeat to Offaly. Gavin
Duffy and Oisin Hynes were both involved in the Sligo minor footballers narrow
one-point loss to Tyrone in the Ulster Minor League last Saturday. The team is
managed by Michael Duffy.
Hurling
Well done
to the Western Gaels hurlers on picking up a 3-15 to 2-6 win over Tourlestrane
in their first Dermot Molloy hurling league game on Sunday.
Parade
Well done
to the organisers of last week’s St Patrick’s Day parade in Enniscrone on
another very well-run and attended event.
Blotto
Congratulations
to Shane Morrison, Culleens, on scooping the blotto jackpot of €6400 last
Saturday night. Shane picked the winning numbers 14, 21 and 38. The jackpot for
next Saturday’s draw in Gilroy’s Bar is €2000.
