With the excellent David Kelly pulling the strings Tubbercurry held off a late rally from the home side to run out two point winners in Sundays entertaining Fureys Division I Leahue clash at Monsignor Hynes Park.

It was Gaels who started the game strongly with three points from Alan McLoughlin but Tunbercurry responded emphatically and with Kelly, Dermot Walsh and Cian Gilmartin all contributing hit seven unanswered points to lead by 0-07 to 0-03 after 18 minutes. Daragh Gallagher kicked two points for the home side who finished the half strongly if still trailing by  0-09 to 0-07 at the interval.

Gaels did get the opening score of the second period trough Luke Towey but that was as close as they could get to the winners who overcame the sending off of a Player and when the evergreen Kelly pointed from 50 metres in the 52nd minute they had stretched their lead to four points. Late scores from Aaron Currid and  substitite James Heraghty brought the home side within two points but despite intense pressure they could not get the necessary goal though Tubber keeper  Griffen Gallagher did have to make a brilliant stop to deny St Molaise Gael's Daragh Gallagher late on.

Best for the Winners were David Kelly, Dermot Walsh, Cathal Surlis and Cian Gilmartin. For St Molaise Gaels there were good performances from Keelan Watters, Paddy McGowan, Robbie Ryan,Daragh Gallagher and Niall McLoughlin .
