Deepest condolences to Neal and the Farry family on the passing of Neal's brother Fonso, a former Ballymote and Sligo player. May He Rest in Peace.

Ballymote GAA received this fitting tribute from Neal on his brother's passing.

It is with sadness to report the passing of Fonso Farry in New York. Fonso had a distinguished football career with Ballymote and Sligo. He was a playing member of the last Ballymote Senior team to win the Championship Owen B. Hunt cup in 1948. He was on the first Ballymote Minor team to win the Sligo Championship in 1949 and he was on the first Sligo Minor team to annex the Connacht Championship in 1949.
