Tubbercurry v St.Molaise Gaels
Two contrasting results for these teams last weekend. Gaels were blown away in the second half and the way they let it happen will be a huge sense of concern for manager Willie Gormley who will know the Tubber side inside/out. Tubber though showed why they reached the final last year though their performance in that final was very poor. The Kelly brothers appear keen to make up for that this year and with young Lavin powering up the wing it is hard to see where Gaels will pull a result here though McLoughlin and Towey should cause them headaches.

Coolaney/Mullinabreena v Coolera/Strandhill
The south Sligo side enter the championship with Kevin Giblin hoping to get a good campaign out of them. Coolera would have expected more from last week and they will expect a response this weekend. They do appear even with county captain Murphy short of attacking options. The experienced Gary Cawley will have his hands full with the Gormans despite their inexperience I expect Coolaney/Mullinabreena to edge it

Coolaney/Mullinabreena

Eastern Harps v Calry/St.Joseph's
Harps will be looking to get their championship back on track after a disappointing first round loss. Their lack of scoring from play is a concern with possibly too much of a dependance of frees for their scores. The clash of Ross Donovan and Darragh Cummins/Conor Griffin makes this game very interesting but the fact that their are more attacking options gives the division 2 champions the nod

Calry

Tourlestrane v Shamrock Gaels
And we are back again to the two leaders in the division 1 league, the finalists which Tourlestrane claimed. Tourlestrane made it harder for themselves than necessary by not finishing off Gaels. This is championship and would expect no slip ups from the current champions and favourites to retain it. Possibly they are thinking of more progression in Connacht. This will be a good test for Gaels who will keep going till the end but their youth which is gaining huge experience from these games will ultimately come up short against this battle hardened group.
