Geevagh picked up their second win of the campaign in Scarden on Saturday evening without ever hitting top gear. A few positional changes before the start paid dividends with Arthur Wall moving to centre back and DathaĆ O'Reilly to full forward. Wall scored in the first attack for Geevagh after keeper McDonagh made an excellent save to tip over the bar. Bunninadden lead 0-3 v 0-2 early on but once O'Reilly found himself in acres of space and drove to the roof of the net there was an inevitability about the result. Daniel Devine followed this up with another goal 2 minutes later. Bunninadden were offered a lifeline before the halftime whistle when winning a penalty but Kenneth Kerins drove wide. At halftime the men from the East lead 2-6 v 0-5.

The second half for Geevagh was containment and despite Bunninadden controlling midfield for long period they never looked like taking the win. Geevagh were content to soak up the pressure and score on the counter attack with Kevin Henry scoring a number of frees. Like the first half Bunninadden had another penalty chance but this time Darren Kearns made an excellent save. Arthur Wall on the counter attack with 5 minutes to go got his goal when driving high and to the corner and despite McDonagh getting fingertips to the ball it hit the top corner. With the last attack of the game Kenneth Kerins scored a consolation goal for Bunninadden.
