Training continues as usual and everyone is asked to attend.
Our Intermediate Ladies had there final group game in the Intermediate Championship on Sunday at home to Owenmore Gaels. Going in to the game a point was all that was needed to guarantee a Final Spot. Owenmore Gaels started the game off very strong and we're quickly in to an 11 point lead. The last 10 mins of the first half our girls finally started to play the football they're capable of. Half time Owenmore Gaels lead on a score line of 3-07 to 1-04. At the start of the 2nd half our girls came out firing on all cylinders scoring 1-02 without reply. After a lot of hard work we fought back to level the game. It was a very tough physical game and after an outstanding second half performance the Ladies march in to an Intermediate Championship Final after a final score line of 4-10 to 3-09. Preliminary date for final is 31st August in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry. Final date and time to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
