Sligo qualified for their second successive league final on Sunday with a comprehensive victory over Cavan in Kingspan Breffni.

Sligo got off to a flyer with Kieran Prior having 1-1 scored before Cavan got on the board and after 10 minutes Sligo lead 1-4 v 0-1. Cavan did hit back and fought well to have the scores at 1-9 v 1-7 after 25 minutes with Tony O'Kelly Lynch and Keith Raymond getting the Sligo scores. The final ten minutes of the half was where the real damage was done and the victory probably secured with firstly Finnian Cawley and they Rory McHugh getting goals leaving the score at the break Sligo 3-13 v Cavan 1-7.

Cavan got off the mark right after the break but a Keith Raymond goal from play which was followed by a point from a penalty  meant the result was not in doubt. As with the game last week the Sligo scores diminished in the second half and whilst Cavan did get two goals near the end points from Raymond, O'Kelly Lynch and Larry Cadden eased Sligo into the league final.

However before that Sligo travel to play Fermanagh in a back fixture.
