Our club dinner dance took place last weekend with a large
crowd attending. Our senior men’s were presented with the 2019 intermediate
championship winning medals. Our senior ladies completed their 2019 season as
ACL Winter League & Division 1 shield winners. In attendance on the night
were Brendan Leonard, Chairman of the GAA County Board along with his
counterpart on the LGFA Board, Chairman Raymond Carden.
Chairperson, Louise Lavin began her address by welcoming
all, she thanks all those who contributed to a very successful & enjoyable
season.
The respective Chairpersons’ complemented the club on a very
successful season, and finished by wishing the club a successful 2020.
Our senior men begin their Benson cup campaign with a home
fixture v Enniscrone next Sunday March 15th at 2.30pm.
Our senior ladies have an away fixture to Tourlestarne next
Sunday at 10.30am. They began their league campaign with a good victory over St
Mary’s.
Well done to Geevagh NS girls camogie team who captured the
county indoor hurling title last Sunday morning defeating Corballa NS.
