Sligo GAA Advice to Supporters ahead of Club Championships
Due to Government and GAA restrictions on large outdoor gatherings, only a limited number of supporter tickets are available for each club championship game this weekend. Each club has been allocated 50 tickets to sell to their supporters which we understand will leave many supporters disappointed. Sligo GAA regret this but simply cannot facilitate a greater number of supporters at games at this time.
We would therefore ask all those without tickets to not attempt to gain entry to a game. Our match stewards are all volunteers and we don't wish them to be put in a position where they must turn away supporters which they will have to do if ticketless supporters arrive at venues. We ask for your understanding and support with this approach. These measures must be followed to protect us all but in particular the safety and welfare of our players.
Arrangements will be reviewed by Sligo GAA in line with any changes in public health policy as the Championship progress.
