It was a Winning weekend for the Senior Men and Junior men both playing Tubbercurry In their respective all new South Sligo Spring League finals.
Friday night saw the Seniors have a comfortable 60 minutes of football at our home pitch before Captain Gary Gaughan accepted the cup from Sligo GAA Chairman Sean Carroll.
On Sunday in the sunshine of Kilcoyne Park our Junior mens Captain Jon Durkin got to accept the cup from Sean Carroll again after seeing the hosts out to win by a goal at the whistle.
Tubbercurry/Cloonacool u13 boys got the better of our boys on Friday night.
Thursday evening our u15 hurlers had a good win over visitors Cluainín Iomáint on a scoreline of 3/11 to 2/4
On Monday last our u13 hurlers had a great win over Naomh Eoin on a scoreline of 6/7 to 2/1.
Hard luck to Sligo minor men's footballers and Sligo ladies and well done to Sligo senior men who dug out a win in extra time over London in the tailteann Cup.
