Well done to our Intermediate footballers who defeated Eastern Harps in the 6th round of the league on Sunday on a scoreline of 3-13 to 0-11. Easkey got off to a bright start and raced into a 5 point lead before Eastern Harps scored 2 points on the trot to bring it back to a 3 point game mid way through the half. Easkey extended the lead back out to 6 points before a well worked Emmett Brennan goal on the stroke of half time gave Easkey a 9 point lead at the break. Easkey got off to a good start in the 2nd half but failed to put it on the scoreboard missing 2 goal chances meanwhile Eastern Harps were more clinical bringing it back to a 5 point game before a Mikey Gordon goal following a strong run from Mikey all but ended Eastern Harp’s challenge. Another goal from Andrew Kilcullen after a lovely ball from Joe McHugh wrapped up the game and made it 4 wins in a row for the Sea Blues. Their next game is away to Bunninadden this Friday at 8pm.

Hard luck to our hurlers who lost their final group game against Tooreen in the CuChulainn league. With both teams having already qualified for the knockout stages, there wasn’t a lot at stake but you wouldn’t have known as both teams really went for the win. It was a tight game with very little between the sides but Tooreen pulled away in the last 5mins to win by 4, the final score was 1-21 to 1-25.

The Senior Championship fixture against Coolera/Strandhill fixed for Saturday was postponed and will now take place this Saturday at 8pm in Easkey.
Hard luck to Easkey/St Farnan’s u19 footballers who lost to Calry/St Joseph’s on Wednesday evening by 2-12 to 4-10. It was a very tight game throughout with very little between the sides but a late goal for Calry/St Joseph’s proved decisive. The Easkey/St Farnan’s goals coming from Thomas Wall and a Rossa Sloyan penalty. They play St John’s in the 2nd round of the group stage this Wednesday at 7.30pm in Easkey.
Well done to our u15 hurlers who had a big win against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the league semi final on Thursday evening last. They now take on Western Gaels in the Final this Friday at 6pm in Easkey, best of luck lads!

Well done to our u17 hurlers who had a big win against Calry/St Joseph’s in the Shield semi final on Tuesday evening last. They now take on Cluainín Iomáint (Manorhamilton) in the Shield Final next week, details TBC.
Our u17 hurlers also lost out to St Mary’s (Carrick on Shannon) by 2 points on a score line of 3-10 to 3-12. Down by 11 points at half time, the lads made a spirited comeback in the 2nd half but just came short
Well done to our u9/u11 hurlers played Western Gaels and also to our u7 footballers who played St Farnan’s. last Wednesday in some very enjoyable games. These youngster continue to improve their skills while having so much fun. A big thank you has to go to all their coaches for their work.
