Fixtures/Results:

Hard luck to our senior hurlers who lost out in the CúChulainn Cup final to Tooreen on Saturday. Easkey/St Farnan’s got off to a slow start and while it was tit for tat for the remainder of the game, they just were unable to the early deficit. The final score was 2-24 to 1-19. It has been a great campaign in the CúChulainn Cup for our hurlers, reaching the final and getting some very competitive games against more experienced competition which will stand our players in good stead for the championship ahead. Well done to Tooreen who are a great side and hopefully we will have many more close fought battles with them in the years ahead.

It was a busy week for our senior footballers who lost out narrowly to Curry last Tuesday in their rescheduled league game and then had a comfortable win over Ballymote in the last round of the league on Sunday. It has been a good league campaign for the footballers which saw Easkey just miss out on promotion.  They now prepare for their 1st round championship game against Enniscrone/Kilglass in 2 weeks time.

Hard luck to Easkey/St Farnan’s u17 footballers who lost out to a very strong St Mary’s team in the 1st round of the A championship on a very wet and windy Monday evening in Templeboy.

Easkey/St Farnan’s u15 footballers played Curry in the 2nd Round of the Championship last Thursday, which saw Easkey/St Farnan’s leading by 8 points at the final whistle.

Hard luck to Easkey u13 footballers who lost out to St Farnan’s in the 2nd round of the championship on Tuesday.

Well done to Easkey u9 and u11 footballers who took on Owenmore Gaels and Tubbercurry in blitzes during the week. There was some exciting games and great performances from all these future stars and it is great to see them enjoying their games while continually improving their skills.

On Tuesday (this evening), our u13 hurlers take on Tourlestrane in the 1st round of the championship at 7pm in Tourlestrane.

On Wednesday, our u19 footballers play Coolaney/Mullinabreena at 8pm in Easkey in their final group game of the championship.
