Last Friday night was a very proud one for the club as our Chairperson Mary Power received a GAA President's Award for 2023 from the Uachtarán Larry MacCarthy. The ceremony was televised live on TG4 and it was a very special occasion for Mary and her family. The award was just recognition for the tireless work she has put into the club over the years. Well played Cian Lally on his instrumental role in helping Sligo record their first league points in Division 4 last Sunday with a six-point victory over Wicklow in Aughrim. Hard luck to Sinead Regan, Maeve Casserly, Caoimhe Connor, Izzy Henry and the Sligo LGFA team who staged a spirited second-half comeback against Louth in Division 3 last Sunday, only to lose by a single point at the finish, 2-10 to 2-9.
There's a big Saturday ahead for 10 of our minor gaelic footballers from Summerhill colleges as they are preparing to contest the Connacht Colleges senior 'A' football final against Claregalway. Summerhill reached the final after a dramatic semi-final victory over Ballinrobe last Thursday. The 10 DRP players on the panel are: Daire Scanlon, Paul O’Brien, Eamonn Keane, Seán Keane, James Donlon (Capt), Joe Campbell, Rían O’Callaghan, Donnchadh O’Brien, Michael Carroll and Seán McCarthy. Saturday's game will be streamed live by Connacht GAA from 2pm.

2023 membership of Drumcliffe/Rosses Point GAA/LGFA club is now open. You can register online on the club website, drp.gaa.ie, where a list of fees and payment options can be found. We are asking everyone to pay their membership online before the end of February.
Our monthly club meeting for February will take place this Wednesday night in Oxfield at 9pm.
