This Friday is All-Ireland final day for Summerhill College gaelic footballers. We wish the team and manager Mark Breheny every success against Omagh CBS at Croke Park. We are proud to have no less than 13 DRP players in the Summerhill squad. Our best wishes to the entire team, but especially to the DRP contingent: James Donlon (capt), Eamonn O'Mahony, Diarmuid Dunleavy, Joe Campbell, Eamonn Keane, Billy McCarthy, Rian O'Callaghan, Sean McCarthy, Paul O'Brien, Donnchadh O'Brien,  Daire Scanlon, Michael Carroll & Sean Keane.

The club is also taking part in the Sligo St Patrick's Day Parade this Friday, March 17th. Kids from U8 and up will take part. We will meet on Mail Coach Road at 11:30am (near the entrance to the MCR Community Centre). This year, the intention is to walk behind the Rathcormac-Drumcliffe Tidy Towns float. Please note that the pick-up point & time will be immediately when 'we finish' on Pearse Road outside Mercy NS. Kids and coaches/helpers/parents all welcome. Just wear the red and black (top to toe!).

Our popular St Patrick's Day Hot Pot event takes place this Friday at Harry's Bistro & Pub in Rosses Point from 1pm. It's an ideal way to feed the family after the Parade festivities and the Summerhill game will also be shown live on the TV screens. All are welcome.

Big congrats to Caoimhe Connor who helped ATU Donegal to win third level gaelic football's Lynch Cup title at the Connacht GAA Air Dome. Caoimhe played a key role in ATU Donegal's semi-final and final, scoring two impressive points along the way.

Good luck to our county players who are in action for Sligo senior men's and women's footballers against Carlow and Kildare respectively this weekend.

Good luck also to our CDO Thomas Cawley and the Sligo hurlers in Sunday's league game against Wicklow at Markievicz Park.
