SENIOR MEN’S SPRING LEAGUE. Our Senior Lads were in league action on Sunday morning last. Played in warm sunshine in Cuilbeg, our lads and opponents swapped points during a cagey first half, both sides kicking four points apiece over the course of the first 30mins to go in level at half time. The 2nd half was a much livelier affair, both sides increased the intensity of the clash, they seemed to wake from their winter slumber, two second half goals from Ciaran and Diarmuid put our lads in the driving seat. John’s struck for a 2nd half goal of their own, but our lads held on for a 2.13 to 1.11 win.
Well Done to our lads on victory on their first competitive day out.
The game marked the debut of corner back John Corcoran, the first of many games for this talented footballer.
