Registration is now open for 2024 and can be completed in www.foireann.ie - all coaches and players aged U6 up to adult need to register to ensure they are insured in advance of the new season - players/coaches can not take the field unless they are registered. Fees remain unchanged from last year. Girls playing U10 and above (born 2015 or earlier) need to register as LGFA players and girls born 2016 and after need to register as GAA. All boys should register as GAA. If you have issues with registration on the foireann app please contact Michelle McMorrow or Mary Quinn.
The club is participating in the National Club Draw for a first prize of a car. Tickets are available from any club member but you can also purchase though your foireann log in. 100% of ticket sales are retained by the club and will be invested back into our underage structures. We would encourage all members and supporters to support this is any way you can. Tickets are €10 each with option to buy anywhere from 1 to 10 on the app.
The winner of last weeks 50/50 draw was Majella Muldowney who won €676.
The final amount raised from our St Stephen's Goal mile walk was €1,439 with over €630,000 raised nationally which will go towards providing humanitarian and development programmes for people across the world facing the devasting impact of disease, climate change and conflict - thanks to all who contributed to this worthy cause.
We kick off our Couch to 5K this week in conjunction with Sligo Sports Partnership starting Wednesday 21st in Riverstown Park. The cost is €30 for 6 weeks. Please contact Marina Swann to register your interest.
We will be holding the 2023 Senior awards night in McDermott's, Castlebaldwin on Saturday 9th March at 9PM where we will present the Senior Div 1 league medals along with Player of the year awards - all welcome to join us on the night.
The club wish to express sympathy with the Hever and Quigley family, relatives and friends on the passing today of Betty Hever, Carrickbanagher. We also express sympathy with Finbar McCormack and the McCormack family on the passing of Finbar's brother Harry in Monaghan last week and with Terese Duignan and family on the passing of her brother in law, John James Duignan, Longford.
