It's a big week for two of our minor footballers. Jasmine Dunleavy and Gemma O'Callaghan are part of the Sligo minor football team who are preparing for Saturday's All-Ireland minor 'B' championship final against Tyrone at Brewster Park in Enniskillen. We wish the team the very best of luck.

Our senior men's footballers made it eight wins out of eight in Division 2 of the league last Saturday evening with a 0-19 to 0-4 win over Easkey at Oxfield. With promotion to Division 1 already assured, the team now prepare for a league final against Enniscrone/Kilglass.

Hard luck to our boys minor footballers who lost out to St Molaise Gaels in the group stage of the 'A' championship last Thursday in Grange, on a final scoreline of 4-11 to 1-15. The team play St Mary's (away) next Tuesday evening (July 30th).

Our girls under-16 footballers made a winning start to their championship campaign at Oxfield last Thursday with a 1-8 to 0-9 win against Curry. Next up is a trip to St Mary's this Thursday evening.

Well done to both our boys U15 football teams who recorded wins against St Mary's last week in their respective opening championship matches. The teams have games this week away to Easkey (Wed) and St John's (Thurs).

The boys U13 footballers play Eastern Harps in the 'A' championship this Friday evening at Oxfield.

The Drumcliffe Community Games boys U11 hurlers were Sligo's representatives in the Connacht semi-final last Saturday in Kiltubrid. The team produced a fine display before losing out to Moore of Roscommon. Our thanks to coaches Jimmy O'Brien and Aidan O'Reilly for all their support and encouragement.
