Well done to the Cloonacool/Tubber minor footballers and management who won the minor league division 2 cup final by defeating St. Farnans/St. Pats on a 5-14 to 2-16 scoreline last week, they also overcame a strong Coolera/Strandhill team in the semi-final. Our senior mens team overcame neighbors Curry in the community park in the Abbott cup competition on Sunday last on a 2-12 to 1-7 scoreline. Training continues for all the panel members during the week at the usual times. The U-16 footballers are away to Easkey/Enniscrone/Kilglass on Monday evening next in a league fixture at 7 pm. Both our U-12 division 1&3 teams travel to take on Coolera/Strandhill on this coming Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the league. The very best of luck is wished to the Sligo senior team, panel and management as they travel to Pearse Stadium in Galway to take on the locals in the Connacht championship semi-final on Sunday next.
