Our U.17 lads began the week on a winning note, defeating neighbours Shamrock Gaels in a lively championship game in Coola. Early scores from our lads saw us race into a 0.03 to no score lead, our opponents kicked 1.1 without reply to go in leading at half time, score at half time read 1.03 to 0.05, our lads scores coming from Dara (3), Eamonn & Conor. This lively game swung in our lads favour with second half points from Oisin, Dara and Eamonn to put them in the lead. Gaels struck for a sucker punch goal midway through that second half to put them in the lead. Our lads kept their composure and a point from Conor along with an Oisin goal secured a valuable win on a 2.09 to 2.05 final score line.

Our U.14 girls qualified for the shield final with an away win over St Mary’s on Friday evening last. This was a good overall team performance and were well deserving on their win.

Our GSTM Minor Girls defeated Calry/St Joseph’s in the Championship on Thursday night last. They have also qualified for the Shield Final.

Our Senior ladies suffered defeat to Drumcliffe in their final round of the championship on Sunday morning last. The girls put up a good fit but lost out in the end to a stronger team

Thanks to all our Senior ladies players and management for an entertaining season.

Our U.13 GSTM Lads suffered an agonising late defat in the Championship on Tuesday night last. They lead for large parts of this game against MolaIse Gaels, at half time by three points and by two points going into the last eight minutes, before their opponents struck for two goals to win the game at the death.  Thanks to all the U.13 Players and management on an entertaining season.

Our U.15 GSTM Lads suffered defeat also at the semi-final stage of the “A” Shield on Sunday morning last. Coolera proved stronger on the day despite a battling performance from our lads who were trailing at half time by three points, leading by two points midway through the 2nd half but were defeated by two points in the end.

Thanks to all our U.15 players and management for an exciting and rewarding season in the “A” division.
