Big congrats to Jasmine Dunleavy, Gemma O'Callaghan and the Sligo LGFA minor footballers who retained the Connacht minor 'B' championship title last Saturday with a 2-11 to 0-10 win over Roscommon in Bekan.

There were three DRP hurlers on the Sligo U17 side who surprised Kildare on Saturday by 1-11 to 1-10 to reach the Corn Jerome O'Leary final for 2024. Take a bow Andoni Oskoz, Thomas O'Brien & Paddy Healy. Sligo's final against Tyrone will be played on June 2nd.

Well played Cian Lally, Eoghan Smith and the Sligo senior county footballers on another Tailteann Cup success last weekend in Thurles. Sligo are now assured of place in the knockout stages.

Our senior club men's footballers completed their spring league campaign on Sunday with a narrow 2-11 to 0-14 loss to league winners St Mary's at Kent Park. Fergal O'Flaherty's team now turn their attention to the start of the Furey's Coaches SFL Division 2 this weekend, when they travel to Corran Park to play Ballymote in their opening fixture on Saturday evening at 7pm.

Our junior men's footballers will be playing in Division 3 this season (having won the Division 4 league title in 2023). They start this Sunday afternoon with a home match against St Mary's at 2pm.

Our senior women's footballers lost out to Calry/St Joseph's on Sunday morning in their Spring League, on a final scoreline of 3-5 to 1-9.

Good luck to our boys U17 footballers who play Ballymote Bunninadden this week in the minor league shield final in Scarden.

Our girls U16 footballers dug deep last week to record a narrow win over Tourlestrane in the league. They return to south Sligo this Thursday evening to play Curry at 7pm.

DRP's boys under-15 footballers had a great run in the Sligo GAA county Feile last Sunday in Scarden, reaching the final, thanks to victories over Shamrock Gaels, St Molaise Gaels and St Mary's. They narrowly lost out to a fine St John's team in the decider on a final scoreline of 4-3 to 1-7.

Well done also to a youthful DRP girls U15 side who played their hearts out in last Suinday's Sligo LGFA county Feile in warm conditions in Cloonacool.

Well played our girls U12 teams who both recorded wins last week against Eoghan Rua and Owenmore Gaels respectively.

A big bualadh bos for the Drumcliffe/Rosses Point under-13 hurlers who beat Easkey in the league at Oxfield last Friday evening. This was a notable scalp for our young up-and-coming hurlers, who produced a superb hour of play.

Our boys U13 footballers host St John's in the league at Oxfield this Friday evening at 7pm.

Hard luck to the Drumcliffe girls community games football team, whose run in this year's competition came to an end in Curry on Sunday evening last.
