Hard luck to Sligo on a great performance against Down just coming up short in the end. Well done to Gaels players involved,  Evan Lyons, Lee Deignan, Shane Deignan, David Quinn and Daniel Lyons and team and management who have put in a tremendous effort this year consolidating their position in Division 3 and reaching the Tailteann Cup Semi-final.

Team of the week goes to the U15 boys who put in a strong performance to win the A Shield final against St Mary's on a scoreline 5-9 to 1-3. The panel was: Eli Rogers, Phillip McManus, Jospeh O'Connor, Ethan Medas, Eoghan Conboy, Daniel Kearns, Eli Cassidy, Míceál Garry, Fionnán Duffy, Eoin Feeney, Cillian Barlow, Dylan McMorrow, Luke Fitzpatrick, Josh McTiernan, David Malone, Leon McMorrow, Dillion Barrett, Clive Barlow, Diarmuid Duffy, Seán Tonry, Harry Brehony and Alan Óg Henry. 

The Senior Div 1 team had an important home win against St Marys on Saturday on a scoreline of 3-8 to 0-10. They now take on Coolera/Strandhill next Sunday away at 5.00PM.

The Senior Div 3 team lost 4-14 to 1-12 away to St Johns on Saturday. The team was Sean Kelly, Shane Barry, Paul Brennan, Shane McCann, Sam Tuohy, Gavin McMorrow, Michael Barry, James Carroll, Patrick Kenny (0-1), Ciaran O'Connor, Conor Kearns (0-2), James Foley (0-2), Steven Willis (0-1), Frank Quinn (1-1), Eoin Dwyer (0-2). Subs: John Craig for S McCann, Declan Willis for S Barry, Conor McMorrow (0-1) for S Willis, Liam O'Connell for C O'Connor, Johnny Quinn (0-2) for J Foley, They now play St Marys at home next Saturday at 7.00PM.

The Senior Div 4 team continued their good run of form with a 2-10 to 3-5 away win over St Johns. The team was: Eoin Dwyer, Jamie Parke, Diarmuid Jinks, Sean Kelly, John Craig (0-2), Niall Whelan, Adrian McCann (0-1), Brian Dwyer (0-1), Gavin McMorrow (1-2), Keith McMorrow (0-2), PJ Regan (0-1), Jack Tuohy (1-0), James Conlon (0-1)They now play Easkey at home next Friday at 8.00PM.

The U16 girls lost 5-6 to 1-3 to CT Gaels last Wednesday. They will now play St Mary's in the Division 1 Shield semi-final on July 1st.
The U13 C boys lost the Cup final to a strong Castleconnor team on a scoreline 5-16 to 3-5.

The U10 and U8 girls play Drumcliffe/Rosses Point away on Thursday at 7.00PM.
The U7 boys and girls play Owenmore Gaels away on Wednesday at 7.00PM. 

G4M&O training continues on Mondays in Riverstown Park from 8 to 9.00PM. Come along for some fun and exercise and great chance to meet new people.

Next Sunday the Gran Fondo cycling event comes through Riverstown with a pit stop in Riverstown Park. We are looking for volunteers for this event - of you can help for a couple of hours please contact Paul Brennan on 083 1164923 or any committee member.

Congratulations to Riverstown U12 Community Games team who had a great win over Coolera in the County final last week and now advance to the Connacht Final. 

The winner of the 50/50 draw last week was Mary Hamilton who won €769.

The clubs wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Gerry Benson, Riverstown who died recently.
