The u13 boys started off their championship campaign with an impressive 4-28 to 2-08 win away to Enniscrone/Kilglass Monday last. Once the lads got their noses in front early in the 1st quarter they never looked back and kicked on to victory. The team was: Ryan Coulter, Dylan Hughes, Eoghan Coll, Peter Diamond, Lochlainn McManus, Fiachra Clarke, Alex McElhinney, Oran Hynes, Tommy Walsh, Jamie Durkan, David Diamond and Iarla Mahon.
The boys now look forward to welcoming Drumcliffe/Rosses Point to Seamie Donegan Park this Monday at 7pm for Round 2 of the championship.
Hard luck to the u16 girls team who were sadly knocked out of the league after a hard fought shield semi final. The scoreline didn't reflect the girls efforts but well done to Geevagh/St. Michael's who were the deserved winners on the night. Well done on a tough season so far and best of luck in the championship ahead.
Well done to the Senior Men in Division 2 in their game against Bunninaden this weekend, the lead changed hands a number of times and both teams fought hard to try and secure the win but in the end they finished on a draw St. Pat's 1-14 to Bunninaden 2-11. Round 7 is up next weekend Saturday 13th July in Ballymote at 7pm.
Preparation for championship has got underway for our ladies team with a challenge game against Eastern Harps last Friday night. Wet conditions didn’t deter both sides playing some excellent football that was enjoyed by all present. Both teams really showed up to play and their work rate and team work was fantastic. We would like to thank Eastern Harps for travelling down to us and best of luck for the rest of the season.
The next 50/50 draw takes place on Monday the 8th of July. Tickets are available in Collery's, Ardabrone Stores, Beltra PO and online or you can get in touch with any committee member.
