Our u14 after a tough two weeks came back fighting fit this week with a fantastic win over home team Eoghan Rua Monday evening. The girls take on Coolera/Strandhill away this Monday @7pm.
The Minor girls lost out narrowly this week to Geevagh/St. Michaels with a score of 0-9 to 0-11. It's the first game they've played together this season so they will be working hard to prepare for their next game on August 21st at home to Carly/St. Joseph's.
Congratulations to our Minor boys team on winning their championship final against Coolera/Strandhill Wednesday evening. The maintained a lead throughout the first half but with only 2 points in it at half time they couldn't afford to slip in the second half. They pulled away in the first 15 minutes of the second half and managed to keep a consistent lead throughout finishing on an impressive 3-17 to 6-4. Thanks to Coolera/Strandhill on an entertaining game and well done on reaching the final. Thanks to the players and coaches for their commitment this season and to all their supporters. Some of the team will continue on in the U17 championship which starts this Wednesday away to St. Mary's in Kent Park @7pm.
Our Senior Men's Intermediate Championship begins this Sunday 18th August in Enniscrone/Kilglass taking on St. Farnan's @5pm. The club would like to wish the players and coaches all the best in the group stages and we hope to see as much support out as possible to drive the lads on. Ticket links will be posted on our social media pages and the clubspot app/Whatsapp ahead of the games.
The U15 boys play Carly/St. Joseph's this Tuesday @7pm in Connolly Park.
Our U13 boys play away in Castleconnor this Monday at 6.30pm.
Thank you to Dylan Hughes, Fiachra Clarke, Tommy Walsh and Alex McElhinney who represented St. Pat's in the u13 county skills challenge this week. They represented our club well and were unlucky to miss out on a place in the Connacht Provincial Finals.
All in the club are incredibly proud of Lauren Cadden, who played a crucial role in helping Team Ireland secure their place in the Paris 2024 Olympics. As a result of her fantastic performance in European Championships and her own individual run in the National Athletics Finals Lauren was selected for the team travelling to Paris. The team delivered an outstanding performance, setting a new national record and finishing 4th in the final! Lauren’s dedication and hard work have been key to this success, and we’re all thrilled to see her contribute to such a historic achievement.
Lucky winner of €560 in last week's 50/50 draw was Enda Connolly. Congrats Enda from all at the club. Next draw takes place on Monday the 19th of August. In the last five draw the club has paid out €2770 Thanks for your support. Tickets on sale in local business or you can get them through our club spot app.
