Spring League fixtures

Our long awaited return to senior football will take place at the end of this month with a home fixture against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the opening round of this season’s Senior Spring League. The game has been fixed for Quigabar on Sunday, March 30th at 2pm.

Coolera/Strandhill and Shamrock Gaels have also been included in Group A, with the Division One league campaign set to commence at the end of April.

Coaching Development Officer

The club extends a warm welcome to John Kelly, who has been appointed as the Coaching Development Officer for 2025. Working in our parish, John will provide coaching in local schools and will also work with our club teams between now and the end of the summer. We wish John well for the coming months and thank him for his work to date.

Friday night coaching

Our Friday night coaching initiative continues this Friday in the astro-turf. Under 9s are from 6-7pm, under-11s from 7-8pm and under-13s from 8-9pm.

GAAmigos success for Kilglass

Well done to the Kilglass NS boys team on qualifying for the county finals of the GAAmigos skills competition after they advanced from the west Sligo section last week.

Membership

Membership is now due for 2025. You can take yours out via the Foireann website at www.foireann.ie. All players must be registered for insurance purposes.

County scene

Well done to the Sligo senior footballers on their important win over Clare in Division Three of the Allianz Football League. We wish the team well in their crucial encounter with Antrim on Sunday next in Belfast.

Well done also to the Sligo ladies footballers on their triumph over Leitrim in the National League, with a special mention to the Eoghan Rua contingent. That result puts Sligo through to the Division Four semi-finals.
