Commiserations to Sligo on Sunday's three-point defeat to Mayo in the Connacht senior football championship. We were proud of Cian Lally's contribution of 1-1 in Castlebar. Onwards to the Tailteann Cup next month.

Good luck to Sligo under-20 footballers, including the DRP contingent of Donnchadh O'Brien, Rían O'Callaghan, Eamon O'Mahony, Michael Carroll and Eamon Keane, against Leitrim in the  Connacht U20 championship this Wednesday evening in Drumshanbo at 6:30pm. The game is being livestreamed by Connacht GAA. The U20s had a great one-point win over Galway last week to remain firmly in contention for the knockout stages.

Good luck to Thomas O'Brien and the Sligo minors in their championship game against Mayo this Friday evening in Castlebar at 6:30pm.

We have two DRP men - Paul O'Brien & Thomas Davis - on the Sligo senior hurling panel, who begin their Nickey Rackard Cup campaign this Saturday afternoon against Louth in Markievicz Park at 3pm.

Our senior men's footballers scored a 1-10 to 0-10 win over Shamrock Gaels in the Senior Spring League last Saturday evening in Oxfield. They now travel to Ransboro this Saturday to play county champions Coolera/Strandhill in their concluding Group A game  at 6pm.

It was a winning start to the Sligo LGFA Connacht Gold senior football league Division 1 season for DRP  last Sunday in Tubbercurry as the girls recorded a 2-9 to 0-6 victory over CT Gaels.  We host Tourlestrane this Sunday morning in Oxfield at 10:30am.

Our junior women's team put in a very competitive display against St Mary's at Oxfield last Saturday in Division 4, before losing out on a final scoreline of 2-9 to 2-3.

The underage matches are coming thick and fast now across all codes (too many to mention here) as Go Games blitzes begin this week at the various age grades. Oxfield hosted its first U11 hurling blitz of the season last Wednesday evening. Our thanks to Cluanín Iomáint and St Molaise Gaels for being part of it.

Our U11 hurlers are now getting ready for a very special trip to Croke Park next Tuesday, April 15th,. They will be among Connacht's representatives at a Go Games Blitz at GAA HQ, and will also get a guided tour of the famous stadium. Trip details are being communicated to parents this week.

Last week’s DRP Club Lotto numbers are: 18, 20, 24, 27. No jackpot or Match 3 winner this week Congrats to €25 Lucky Dip winner, Alan Williamson. This Thursday's Jackpot will be €7000. To enter, visit drp.gaa.ie.

Club members and friends  are making up 24 relay teams - with each group walking  for one hour as part of the walkathon.
