Commiserations to our Intermediate footballers on their 1-11 to 1-8 defeat to St Molaise Gaels last weekend.

With a break in league action this weekend, our lads attention turns to the final of the Spring League when they take on Eastern Harps in Ballymote on Friday evening, with throw-in at 7.30pm. Your support would be appreciated.

Our Junior ‘B’ footballers are scheduled to play Castleconnor this weekend. Keep an eye on our social media channels for details of the fixture.

Minor

Our minors have finished top of Division B1 of the league after last week’s win over Geevagh/St Michaels. After a great tussle, our lads were 6-8 to 3-14 winners in Ballintogher.

Details of their fixture in the knockout phase will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Under-15

Our under-15s lost out to Tubbercurry/Cloonacool last week on a scoreline of 3-18 to 4-11. This was a cracking match in which both sides played some superb football. Next up for the lads is a home match against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point next Monday, May 12th.

Under-13

Our under-13 ‘C’ team had another good win last week on the road against St Molaise Gaels. They play Coolera/Strandhill at home on Tuesday evening (May 6th) with throw-in at 7pm.

Our ‘A’ team had their match against Coolera/Strandhill rescheduled; it will now take place next Sunday (May 11th) at 11am in Quigabar.

Under-9

Our under-9s and under 11s had a great evening’s action at home to St Farnan’s last Tuesday. Well done to all involved.

County scene

Best of luck to Ciaran O’Dowd, Declan Rouse and the Sligo senior footballers as they begin their Tailteann Cup campaign against Tipperary in Tubbercurry next Sunday.

Well done to Isaac Rolston who featured for the Sligo under-14 squad last week.

Well done to club referee, Michael Connolly, who took charge of the All Ireland under-20 ‘C’ final between Armagh and Monaghan last weekend in Cavan.

Best wishes

The club extends its best wishes to Garry Dullaghan, who has been working in Quigabar as part of the scheme for the past couple of years. Garry’s time finished with us earlier in the Spring. We thank him for all his efforts in maintaining the grounds during his time in the role.
